Portraits in low light

Kalmar, Sweden: Portrais in low light
Ok, I have a camera that’s a technical marvel, Nikon D800. The camera is capable of producing stunning pictures in hight resolution. But how about high sensitivity – high ISO – in low light? Åsa and I went out yesterday to test it’s limits. Why? I like taking portraits in low light and can the noise (grain) add a quality to the image?

Different opinons

We have different opinions about the picture, the Model and I. She thinks it’s awful. I like it. Especially the looks in her eyes and the flow of her hair.
We had been shooting pinups för a calendar for hours and the temperature in the garage was well below zero. Tove doesn’t give up easily but now the colour of her skin was shifting from pale to blue. “Did you say one more shot?”
“Yes, one more.”
